What if the wind… is a generative artificial intelligence conversational system that blurs the lines between monetary authority and philosophical imagination. The system consists of two AI agents trained on conceptually opposed corpora to generate a poetic, unsettling, and oracular endless dialogue. In this exchange, one agent poses questions shaped by the 12th-century mystical poem “The Conference of the Birds”, while the other responds informed by the speeches database of the Bank for International Settlements, also known as the “bank of central banks”.
While the financialization of our daily life proposes how to get ahead, it also rearranges the expansive movements of the soul through chrono-normatives deployed across cultures and geographies. Faith and trust serve as binding mechanisms that offer unsurmountable indebtedness —whether to gods or institutions— in exchange for future prosperity.
The synchronization of these two corpora reflects on the horizontality of systems of belief, in which reason must give way to faith and devotion. As a symbolic place of confluence, What if the wind… demands a critical reflection, not devoid of humor—on the esoteric narratives of financial power and its quasi-sacred character.
